Thomas Congdon EtchingBoxwoodLane.com
Framed signed etching of the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris by the American artist Thomas R. Congdon (1862 - 1917). Such beautiful detail in both the engraving and the frame! This is a rare piece that would be a perfect gift for the art collector. It's dated 1915 and is signed by the artist in pencil in the lower left. Note that this is not a modern reprint.
The Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the River Seine in Paris, France and was completed in the year 1607. It's still recognized as one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris. It's no wonder it was the source of inspiration for Thomas Congdon.
