Engraving of Sir Edward Coke (1552 - 1634) - Lord Chief Justice of England. Engraved by G. Vander Gucht and published in 1719. The paper used for this engraving shows the faint lines found in laid paper, an old process for making paper using wires. The matting on this piece is new, but the frame and glass is from the 1890s when it was framed by McElroy's Art Store in Washington D.C.

Details:

  • The full paper size behind the matting measures about 8.75" x 6".
  • The paper has been adhered to cardboard.

Condition:

  • Part of our Estate Collection and in very good vintage condition. Some yellowing/discoloration from age.
