Wilcox Aesthetic Cupid PotWilcox Silver Plate Co.
Antique Victorian Aesthetic silverplate coffee server made by the Wilcox Silver Plate Company, circa mid to late 1800s. This is really a beautiful item with a charming finial on top of a cherub rowing on a floating shell. Very unique and rare piece. Great item to add to a collection or to use as a statement piece. The Wilcox Silver Plate Company opened for business in 1865 in Meriden, Conn. until 1898, when they became a part of the International Silver Company.
- Measures just over 12" tall.
- Stamped quadruple silver plate on the bottom, along with the maker's mark and pattern number.
- Part of our Estate Collection and in very good vintage condition. The silver plate is in very nice shape, considering its age. There are very minor scratches to the surface, but not significant. The inside finish appears to have minor stains from previous use (should be cleaned prior to using). The interior finish also appears to have some pitting from age (please see photo). Overall though, this is a very nice piece that you'll be proud to show off!
