Items shipped to Hawaii or Alaska may have a longer shipping time than specified. For example, the 2 Day Shipping option may actually take 3 or more days. Please allow for this longer time when placing your order.


Oversized Items

A delivery surcharge may apply to oversized items in addition to the normal shipping cost (usually orders weighing more than 60 pounds). If so, this information will be provided to you prior to shipping out your order. Processing and delivery times for oversized items can be longer than for smaller sized items. Some heavy or oddly shaped items must be shipped using a freight trucking company. Oversized items are usually delivered in 7-14 business days after the order has been processed and has left our warehouse. Oversized items cannot be expedited. Some larger and heavier items can only be sent via ground freight. Special freight arrangements must be made for orders weighing over 100 pounds. Please contact us directly for any orders requiring special freight arrangements.

Please note that freight trucking companies are typically not responsible for unloading oversized items from the truck, or carrying the item inside your home. Since the item is likely to be heavy and large, you will want to have someone with you to help with your item. If you are sending this item as a gift, please include the recipient's phone number so the recipient can be contacted in the event the delivery needs to be scheduled.

Sorry, but some oversized or heavy items may not be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii. If not, you will be notified during the checkout process.

 

How much will it cost to ship my order?

Free Standard Shipping offer:

Applies to orders that weigh a total of 20 pounds or less (which is almost everything we sell...):

Get standard shipping for free on orders that have a total weight of 20 pounds or less. Orders that have a total weight of over 20 pounds do not qualify for the free shipping offer. The order weight is calculated by Boxwood Lane and is based on the individual item weight for each piece included in the order. This offer is not available for prior purchases. All items in the order must be shipped to the same destination and at the same time. Offer valid for US shipping destinations only and can change at any time. 

Orders that are 20 - 30 pounds:

  • Orders that weigh 20 - 30 pounds, and are shipped to destinations within the continental United States, qualify for standard shipping at $19.99.

Orders that are 31 - 40 pounds:

  • Larger-sized orders that weigh 31 - 40 pounds and are shipped within the continental United States qualify for standard shipping at $24.99.

Orders that are 41 - 60 pounds:

  • Over-sized and/or heavier orders that are 41 - 60 pounds qualify for standard shipping at $34.99.

Orders over 60 pounds:

  • Heavier orders that are over 60 pounds may require additional charges and will be calculated during the checkout process or prior to your order being shipped out to you.

Standard shipping is usually delivered via USPS, Fedex, or UPS Ground, however the exact method of delivery will be determined by Boxwood Lane, LLC.

During the checkout process you will be given an opportunity to select a shipping method. At that time you may choose a different shipping method other than the Standard Ground Shipping option. Each shipping method has a different cost. In general, the faster the delivery, the more expensive the shipping cost.

Your actual shipping cost may be influenced by a few factors, such as:

  • The shipping address, or destination, of your item(s)
  • The shipping method you select
  • The weight and size of your item
  • The total cost of your item

Your total shipping cost will be calculated automatically and will be displayed to you during checkout prior to the completion of your order.

Live in Richmond, VA?

If you're buying an oversized item, and you live in Richmond, VA, you can opt to have your item delivered to your address for only $5.00! This option will be made available to you during the checkout process.

Shipments to Hawaii and/or Alaska

Sorry, but please note that some of our items cannot be shipped to Alaska and/or Hawaii. If one of these items are purchased, and shipment is requested to Alaska and/or Hawaii, the purchase will be refunded and the buyer notified of the cancellation of the order.

Shipments to Canada / International Destinations

Sorry, but we only ship to US destinations at this time. However, many people have had success using 3rd-party shipping services. Many of these companies will allow us to ship to a US address, and they will then ship the item directly to your non-US address. Although we don't endorse any of these companies, we are happy to provide the following links for informational purposes only:

Please note that our Returns and Exchanges Policy is different for any items that have a final destination of any non-US address. You should also be aware that any international shipments may be subject to local duties and taxes. These fees are above and beyond any prices listed on our website. The buyer will be responsible for any and all of these additional fees.


Out of Stock Items

We will try to tell you when you place your order if an item is out of stock. However, there may be times when an item may become unavailable after you have placed your order. If so, we will notify you as soon as possible of the cancelled item.


Backordered or Unavailable Items

Certain items may be on backorder or not immediately available from a supplier. We will try and notify you as soon as possible if any delivery is delayed due to a product not being immediately available for shipment. 


Can I ship to Multiple Addresses?

Sorry, at this time we cannot ship a single order to multiple addresses. Multiple orders are required to ship to multiple addresses, with each order being shipped to a different address.


Can I Change the Speed of Delivery After I have Placed My Order?

Sorry, at this time no changes can be made to an order once it has been submitted.


What else should I know about?

Here are a few other points to be aware of:

  • Orders are processed and shipped on business days only (Monday through Friday), excluding U.S. Federal holidays.
  • All orders require a street address. Sorry, but we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
  • Orders containing multiple items might not always be shipped together. Some items in your order may be shipped separately and from different points of origin. 

 

 Can I track my order?

Tracking numbers are provided for most orders. You will receive the tracking number soon after you place your order. On rare occasions, we might need to use a delivery service that does not provide tracking information. If so, we will still provide as much information as we can about the processing of your order, but may be unable to track your item during shipping. Please contact us if you need more information about your order.


What if the estimated delivery date has passed and I still don't have my order?

We will provide you with tracking information for all orders that are shipped via a trackable method (such as Fedex or UPS) whenever possible.

  • If the tracking information indicates the package has been delivered, please check with your neighbors or family members. Packages are occasionally left with neighbors, a building manager, or are placed somewhere relatively safe on your property. Please note that we cannot be responsible for items delivered, but subsequently lost or stolen.
  • If the tracking information indicates the package is being returned to us, or if the address is incorrect, it may have been undeliverable. If so, please contact us to arrange for delivery.

 

 Do I have to pay taxes on my order?

Taxes are only applicable to items being shipped to a Virginia address. Your total tax amount will be calculated during the checkout process.
